My Dad had this telecommunication expo and some dinner party he had to go to in Singapore. Out of the blue, he phoned me while he was in his office and asked if I and my sister wanted to go. Then I asked if we do, would our August trip be canceled. And he made my day by saying “well, that’s that and this’s this”. So, yeah. My sister and I went to sunny Singapore. We only stayed two days though, form 16th to 17th June. But that was kinda enough.
We stayed at Summerview Hotel on Bencoolen, across the Ibis Bencoolen hotel. The hotel was okay.. unexpectedly, they gave us three beds even though my Dad didn’t asked for an extra bed. But maybe the travel agent did requested an extra bed. Well, anyways.. after dropping our luggages on the hotel’s lobby, we went out to get some lunch. We had lunch at the food court in Sim Lim square, just a few minutes walk from the hotel.
The one thing I love about Singapore is its clean, unpolluted air and the fact that the country is a small island so I have to walk everywhere. In case you didn’t know, I lived in Singapore for about 1,5 years back in 1998. And after that, my last visit to the small country was when I was on 6th grade, which is like 6 years ago. You can say that I miss the country. I feel safe in Singapore. I’m much more comfortable walking through Singapore’s streets rather than walking through Jakarta’s.
Anyways, I spent the two short days with my sister going to Orchard, City Hall and Bugis shopping. It’s been a long time since we walked that far, so we were quite exhausted. We got quite a few things!

SGD12,5 lime green v-neck shirt from esprit that looks like the one eunhyuk wore on KBS guerilla date
I got so many pretty things for cheap prices. Especially the heels! OH MY GOD. I had my eyes on a pair of blue suede heels from Nine West but it’s freaking expensive! I mean, I wouldn’t spend so much on a pair of heels no matter how much I loved it. Then when I was walking through Bugis Street, I spotted this baby and bought it right away! :B
Then we went home with the last flight of the day. South Korea was up against Argentina. There was this corner in Changi that had 8 screens displaying the World Cup match. We sat there for about 20 minutes, but then we had to go board the plane. Lo and behold! The plane was delayed for about an hour, so my sister and I borrowed Dad’s laptop and watched the match online.
There’s a special event on my flight back home. There was this.. guy. He was.. hot. LOL. He was Singaporean though, and he went to Jakarta with a bunch of his friends. They all looked different in age though, so I don’t know what kind of trip he was having. The weird thing is that in front of me were two rows of them, my row (me, my sister & Dad) and then behind us was another row of them. So, we were like “sandwiched”. Throughout the flight I eavesdropped through the conversation of his friends. It turned out that his name was either Jerry, Derry or something similar (hence, I call him JD LOL, uncreative I know). He was around my age, 18, or 20.
The bummer thing is, my sister and I were very unlucky to seat in front of JD’s two male friends. One was Lucas (I believe he’s British, but he talks in a Singlish accent) who was very, very VERY talkative. And the other was this dude whose name wasn’t spoken during the one-hour flight who very much think about himself & his appearance. Trust me when I said these two were very noisy. They didn’t even shut up for a second and I’m not exaggerating! The dude was like “how was my hair?” when queueing to get off from the plane, another boy said “not good” and he freaked out.
I was very annoyed during the flight. When we were free to walk on the plane, JD got up and went to the row in front of him. He was kneeling on the empty seat, automatically facing towards the back of the plane and guess what? He looked at me *squeal*. And when we were about to descend, he got up again from his seat, reached up to the cabin and put his MacBook inside his backpack. While he got up, he glanced at me again! *squeeeaaaaal*
Well, this has got to be my longest blog post ever. In short I had much fun during my short trip aside from the little “turbulence” on my flight home. But that’s cured by JD. Oh, how I wish to see him again~

Hey there, let me introduce myself. I’m a complete stranger if you haven’t noticed, a kpopaddict to be exact on a journey trying to find other people of her kind. And when she stopped by this place to rest, she received her call. By coincidence or was it.. Fate? By the moment she stepped into this foreign place, she just KNEW implusively that this person was the one. Oh yes, ladies and gentlemen you are the one indeed! Okay, stop stop stop! I’m Anh, nice to meet you (:
I giggled when I read the part with this apparently very good-looking guy glancing at you haha! Lucky day, huh?
Anyway, the domo thing is totally.. my thing! (limited vocabulary) And while we’re at it – where does it come from? I’ve always known about the existence of this squareheaded character, but never have I been told where it comes from? Like a cartoon series or something? Can you be the wise person to make my day, and tell me?

Hi Ahn! Oh wooooow~ a kpopper which actually blogs! Most of the kpoppers I met tend to blog about kpop XD It really is nice to meet you! Where do you live, by the way?
Well, the good-looking guy happens to be very similar to Teen Top’s C.A.P! Have you heard of that group? They just debuted and they are really awesome!
Umm.. the domo guy. Yeah. I don’t really know either! I think he’s a Japanese character much like Hello Kitty. But yeah, I don’t have a clue! If you’re wondering about domo, I’m wondering about SJ’s Kim Heechul twitter avatar! :p

Ah, I never got a mail back telling me that you’ve replied sorry!
About the kpopper thing blogging about kpop.. Well to tell you the truth, the PURPOSE of my blog was supposed to be kpop… but I kind of failed at that you see. (look at my pathetic sidebar, it says “blogs filled to the brink with fandom times 3.. yeah.. more like divided to bits.)
And uh, I live in Denmark by the way!
Yeah, I’ve heard of it but I never really bothered to take a look at them.. Well, I recall seeing their teaser. Not that I have anything against them, it’s just all these new groups flooding the kpopscene.. sooo many new faces and new names to remember… (And I just hate the feeling of not being able to tell their faces apart D:) Sigh, I’m getting old….. But now that you’ve mentioned them, I tried to look them up
And boy that COP dude is *weird-eyebrowmoving-action* looking good.
Anyway, I’ll reply to your comment on my blog later! Maybe tomorrow evening, since I have to visit my cousins today (they live in another city, and we have to sleep over)… Going to miss me already? thought so. Haha, kidding kidding.
